3 Way Breakfast Toast

Breakfast is the most important meal of the day. Get the nourishment you need, while making it fun!


Here are my favourite go-to breakfast toasts, done three ways!


It can be the perfect substitute for pancakes and ice-cream, especially when you don't want the heavy sugar crash in the morning.


Nutrient dense, feels like dessert in the morning, what's not to love.


Ricotta Maple Berry on Sourdough

Ingredients:

  • Sourdough toast (toasted)

  • Ricotta cheese (large dollops)

  • Fresh/frozen berries

  • Pumpkin seeds

  • Dried blueberries

  • Maple syrup


Directions: Assemble as shown - get creative!



Ricotta Mango Chia Seed Toast


Ingredients:

  • Wholemeal toast or sourdough toast (toasted)

  • Ricotta cheese (large dollops)

  • Frozen mangos

  • Pumpkin seeds

  • Chia seeds

  • Cacao nibs

  • Maple syrup


Fruit Toast with Cottage Cheese & Seeds

Ingredients:

  • Cafe style/thick fruit or raisin toast (toasted)

  • Cottage cheese (large dollops)

  • Pumpkin seeds

  • Cinnamon

  • Maple syrup


With these toast variations, I recommend to really experiment with all sorts of toppings you fancy. I am always big on the omega-3 seeds and cacao nibs. In fact, I often change up the recipe from time to time.


Definitely listen to your body and feed your body what it feels like eating!
